Kids Fun Run
A Trot for Tots (ages one to five) and a Kids Fun Run (ages six to ten) will be run separately offering an opportunity for children, parents and friends to participate in events designed to encourage fitness and fun in memory of Dr. Lawrence D. Jacobs. Dr. Jacobs touched people's lives all over the world and especially in Buffalo, providing them with knowledge, understanding and hope. The runs, directed by the University at Buffalo Track Team, will take place at Nichols School at the corner of Amherst St. and Colvin Ave.
All children will receive a chocolate winner's medal and t-shirt.
Warm-up: 8:30 a.m.
Start: 8:45 a.m. SHARP
Parents: please arrive on time to ensure you child makes the race start!

FREE post-race Father's Day Brunch will be provided to all runners and kids fun runners. Each registered runner will receive a commemorative Jog for the Jake silicone wristband good for entry to the event. Guests and spectators are kindly asked to make a $5 (individual) or $10 (family) donation to The Jacobs Neurological Institute. Volunteers will be stationed at Registration to collect donations. The post-race kids party will have bounce houses, face painting, ice cream from Perry's Ice Cream, and interactive displays from the following organizations:
Albright Knox Art Activity
The Albright Knox Art Gallery is sponsoring an art activity and will have supplies available to help children make a special art project.
The Buffalo Zoo
Trained staff from the Zoo will bring select animals and reptiles so children can get up close and personal with some of the zoo's finest friends.
SPCA
The SPCA's "Whisker Wag'n" will be onsite with animals available for adoption.
Climbing Wall
A climbing wall and staff from the Niagara Climbing Center will be at the party for supervised climbing fun.
